THE STORY BEHIND THE BOOK

Thank you for visiting this website. If you have been “in-lightened” by any information on this site…it has served its purpose. There are so many wonderful writers over the millenniums that have concisely articulated the feelings of spiritual awareness. I have gathered information from different writers through the centuries and hopefully syncopated or melded their hypothesizes, theories, experiences and visions to this date. Finding thoughts, words, phrases and beliefs that bring forth your joy is the wonderful process of learning, growing and experiencing. Wisdom has no chronological measurement…finding yours may come in a bolt of lightning or it may slowly permeate through you throughout your journey. One thing is for certain: it surrounds you always.

The following are some of my favorites and you will find more from the webpage of Excerpts from the book.

“I was very fortunate to work in an environment that educated me at a young age to benefit from the knowledge of my elders. I worked several years in a cardiac rehabilitation program. These survivors of cardio-impairments would share and bestow their wisdom upon me. Some would mention that if they could do it all over again, they would enjoy their youthful days more—slow down and smell the roses. They would enjoy their relationships more. Try a different career. Spend more time with their children. Nurture the significant individuals in their life. Definitely stop chasing Mr. Green Backs. But the most consistent variable, the most important common denominator, was their wish to have simply “enjoyed life more”." -Pg. 6

“When there is freedom, rather than being forced to abstain from an object, the mind/body will eventually progress towards a more balanced and healthy alternative.”…..”A great author and genuine kind human being, Gerald G. Jampolsky, author of “Love Is Letting Go Of Fear”, quoted from the “Course in Miracle”, “Forgiveness is the key to happiness”. Learning to forgive yourself for your misperceptions and embracing what you thought was unforgivable, will allow you to have a joyous and wonderful life.”….”Knowing that I have a tendency to misperceive allows me to have the compassion to forgive myself and, in turn, I understand that others also have this tendency to misperceive and it makes it easy for me to have compassion for them. When I am cognoscente and proceed with love, the person or situation opens up as though it were petals opening from a flower and I am able to share in their beauty. If I had the ability to travel in their shoes, and live through their situations in life, I may perceive it the same way. It reinforces the familiar adage; “people are only strange when I am a stranger.” Shirley MacLaine added: “The more I traveled the more I realize that fear makes strangers of people who should be friends”….”You will always be able to recognize—Love. As Mother Theresa stated: “We do not do great things, only small things with great love.” -Pg. 44-45

VIEWING LIFE AS THOUGH IT WERE A MOVIE

"We can address this from a scientific perspective, or we can address it from an artistic view. By indulging myself in the theory that life is just a movie and I have come to participate in it, I needed to address a few questions. Is there a supreme being, a God, if you will? A scholar who described the theory said, “the God could be a singular entity or a collective consciousness.” He went on to say: “this God has great love and understanding, of which we are always a part of, and grants us anything we could imagine. We are only asked to return that love, as children return to their parents for comfort and joy. There is no demand to return the love, but an awakening by choice to return the love to be a part of God again.”….The theory included that our imagination and creativity allow us to create whatever we choose. We have an option to travel to this planet and live by its simple rules. The theory goes on to say that we pay an admission and then participate/observe the movie pre-written for us. God and you chose to write a fascinating story that would encompass all the attributes and sensations of the human experience. Remember, this was done out of free will. You can leave any time you choose, or you can enjoy what was written for you to experience. It is as though you paid your admission to the theatre and you are watching a movie on the screen that you selected. You have the open to leave the theatre at any time. For me, I already paid my admission, bought the popcorn and beverage, found an excellent seat and have come with several friends to enjoy the movie together. At times I wonder where the movie is going, why these characters are in this particular scene, and then, through patience, it all makes sense for the story line to continue.” -Pg. 16-17

“They appreciate the fact that the movie is going to go on with or without their cooperation. Their responsibility is to either gently row with the current or paddle against it. Once they have found the techniques to balance their day-to-day activities and enjoy the journey, life becomes quite a spectacular event. The movie will be over before you know it.” -Pg. 26
