"When I am in need to refocus my life, the book Making It So has always provided me comfort. The book is great because whenever you pick it up you can open it to any page and there will be something on it that will enlightened me at that moment. It reminds me to trust, follow my movie and live with love in my heart and mind. It really is that simple. I loved the adage, "How can I help you help me?" It too reminds me that we are all on this planet together --so let's have some fun."

Lori Skoumal, NC

"I have changed my beliefs concerning reality and the afterlife drastically after reading what you wrote in the small volume "Making It So." I am not a fool. I know a lot of people write things for profit...even as Hubbard did on a dare! I am not looking for a messiah...I had that and could go back to that if I so desired. I was searching for a way to congeal the vast discord of all of my thoughts and beliefs and your book seems to be the closest thing I have found as of yet. Not many people do...Buddah, Jesus, Mohammad...a few who had some answers but they're a hard act to follow. I hope you have the time to answer my email. I know you must receive many on a daily basis."'

Austin Balanger

"'Making It So' offers simple insight into the diversity and contradictions of life. The author is ruled equally by intellect and emotions. He is aware that our fears restrict our alternatives and consequently limit the fulfillment of our journey in life."

Anita Rozenhart, BC, Canada

Manjit Samra, FL

"Nice book, very positive, easy read. Other self-help books say 'you need to change' and I liked that his book is saying 'just be yourself.' It helped me discover my inner beauty and success without following step-by-step instructions."

Bobby Vallowe, FL

"'Making It So' is mandatory reading for anyone in search of meaning and happiness on the battlefield of life. Its inspirational message should be referred to again and again."

Captain Bruce Warren Ollstein, FL

April Davis, NC

"I have, over the past three years, read the book Making It So on several occasions. Since reading it, the transformation in my life has been quite remarkable. Making It So has assisted me in the realization that by changing my inner perception, my "outer" being now reveals the beauty so long obscured by my past attitude. Learning to let go of my past thoughts and beliefs, by looking at things anew, giving up my desire to control my world and the people in it, has brought more joy into my life. The natural rhythms of life no longer frustrate me. I find myself more attuned to the perfection of life, safe in the knowledge that everything is working out in my best interest. I find comfort in knowing that I am working in unison with the universe and recognizing that the universe is working in perfect order. Thank you Robert Van Laarhoven for revealing to myself and others that all we need to do is let go and let God."

Linda Birnie, FL

"Making It So is a refreshing piece of work that successfully manages to break new ground in the discourse of self-improvement."

"Since reading Making It So, it has turned my head around and pointed it towards the light. I haven't looked away since. Bad or negative, hurt or anger no longer play a role in my movie. It makes me want to share with others in what I know."

Pam Gilles, CA

"Making It So is filled with excellent quotes and metaphors for everyone's liking and provides plenty of food for thought to comprehend and to act upon. I would strongly recommend this book, not only to be read and reread; but as workbook to be worked, as well as a study guide for future use." Book Review-On Course

Ted Kagan, CA

"Upon reading the passages in the book Making It So, I first smiled, then kept reading...later I reread it and made me smile again, then I sat there and really let the power of that truth sink into my soul. It is the truth I recognize, a truth that I cannot deny, the VERY powerful presence of it in my life at this very moment in time. How humbling it is when you just "let things be what they will be," don't you agree? It takes great strength AND courage, I am finding, to allow this positive energy into my life on a subconscious level. I am finding it to be of the dual nature of being the easiest, most effortless, painless process in the world AND the most difficult! Thank you for this wonderful and most unique book, it has changed my life."

Dawn Sievers, FL

"With so many books out there to read, different styles, lengths, and prose, and with many people maybe more educated than I, please take my view for its sincerity. Some books, like some movies and some songs, speak to us. We may not have the ability to create them but we know what we like when we read, see or hear them. Your book, Making It So, when reconciled with my past readings and life experiences, came across as easy to read, short, visually pleasing, and not overtly proselytizing. You seem to have had a personal epiphany of sorts, without an emphasis on an anthropomorphic messiah. Tony Robbins and Gary Zukov immediately come to mind. I relate to God in a 'collective consciousness' view... the 'singular, man-made-in-his-image' view doesn't compute for me (way too egotistical and narcissistic). You have a refrain paraphrased '...even our worse mistakes turn out to help others..' I like that, very positive! We can find love if we learn to forgive, embrace the unforgivable, recognize our tendencies to misperceive, accept the inevitability of our pre-determined destiny, flow with and not against life's forces, maintain our bodies with healthy nutrition, exercise and loving thoughts. How could I not like it! Bravo! Thank you for putting your message so succinctly!

David Fraser, FL

"I found your book, Making It So, most interesting and quite lovely. I now have the courage to travel and enjoy the world. I guess you would say I am 'making it so.'"

Jennifer Calvert, TN

"Making it So" is an uplifting book filled with many pearls of wisdom. We should view life as a journey that is meant to be enjoyed. By actively participating in our "everyday movie" and enjoying the adventure of it all, good things will happen. Dr. VanLaarhoven presents these concepts in such a fun, simple way that I've read his book several times and I've always gained additional insight. By perceiving life in a more enjoyable fashion we can make our life stories a "best seller!"

Jan Rokowski, Phoenix, AZ

"Fresh, wonderfully conveyed spiritual message flows effortlessly through the reader's heart making it warm and cozy. Making It So has made me understand, appreciate and enjoy my life to the highest degree. It helped me to express and accept myself for who I am, therefore allowing me to live close to the truth!"

Malgorzata Mabe, Lodz, Poland

"I had recently picked up this book from a local bookstore. The first time that I read it I just sort of glanced through it. A couple of nights later I picked it up again and read the complete book before I went to sleep. I can say one thing for sure about this book. This book has a collection of some of the most helpful knowledge that I have read in a long time! Get this one for sure and remember. Number One Make It So!"
